`Congress manifesto has helped improve party's prospects'

MANGALORE, APRIL 24. The manifesto released by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will prove to be a trump card for the party in the coming elections, according to the KPCC General Secretary, H.N. Prem Kumar.

Addressing presspersons here today, he claimed there was a perceptible change in mood among the voters since the party released its manifesto, which had taken into consideration the aspirations of all.

Mr. Kumar said the achievements of the Congress Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, and galvanisation of the party cadre under KPCC President, B. Janardhana Poojary, would help the party in the coming elections.

The spokesman of the Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee, Sadananda Poonja, said the party had nominated two observers to each Assembly constituency,
