Bhaktavatsala is KAT chairman

The Union government has appointed retired Karnataka High Court judge Bhaktavatsala as chairman of the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT). He will serve as chairman for five years (till 2020).

He was in the eye of the storm for his alleged remarks on an unmarried advocate arguing a divorce case in 2012.
