Annual convocation of KSOU on April 3

MYSORE: The sixth annual convocation of the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) will be held here on April 3, according to a release. Admission to the convocation is open to the candidates who have passed the PG examinations held between February 2005 and December 2005 and students who have passed the undergraduate degree examination conducted by KSOU during November/December 2004 and May/June 2005.

All rank holders, winners of various medals and cash prizes of Bachelor's and Master's degree examinations held between February 2005 and December 2005 are eligible to receive their degree during the convocation. Eligible candidates have the option of obtaining their degree either in person or in absentia. The fee for obtaining the degree in person for postgraduates, medal winners, prize winners and rank holders is Rs. 400. The fee to receive the BA, B.Com., B.Ed. and other degrees in absentia is Rs. 425.

It is Rs. 700 for M.Phil and Ph.D (in person) and Rs.750 (in absentia).

Applications may be obtained from the KSOU directly or by sending a self-addressed and stamped (Rs.10) envelop (28 cm x 12 cm) from the Registrar (Evaluation), KSOU, Manasagangotri, Mysore.

The last date to submit the applications without fine is March 20 and the last date with a fine of Rs.100 is March 25, the release added.
