Says his Government will focus entirely on development of the State

BANGALORE: Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa has said that the first ever full fledged BJP Government in the State will create right ambience for unhindered development and provide all facilities for investors.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the inaugural session of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Bunts’ Sangha, Bangalore, here on Saturday.

Asserting that his Government was committed to the overall development of the State, Mr. Yeddyurappa said the Government would provide infrastructure and other requisites for all investors on a better scale when compared with other States.

The development activities in the State had been hampered for want of honesty and commitment. As the present Government was free from all shackles, it would concentrate on all development works with conviction and vision, he said.

Applauding the entrepreneurial ventures of the Bunt community in many areas such as banking, hotel and industry, Mr. Yeddyurappa said the community was known for hard work and achievements.

Responding to the request that Kundapur MLA Haladi Srinivas be made a Minster, the Chief Minister said the party would always recognise the merit and honour the deserving candidates.

The Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala D. Veerendra Heggade said there was a need to protect and nurture the indigenous values and innate culture of the country from the increasing onslaught of the western models.

Karnataka Lokayukta N. Santosh Hegde was the chief guest.

Minister V.S. Acharya was present.

Sangha president Harish Kumar Shetty presided.

The sangha’s jubilee celebrations will conclude on Sunday.
