According to police, Shruti, wife of Harish Kumar, who has a tractor showroom in Belandur Circle, went to the HDFC Bank on Sarjapur Road to take out some jewellery, including a pair of diamond bangles, kept in the locker. She kept the jewellery in a bag next her seat. She had driven some distance when a man, who was on a motorcycle, called out to say petrol was leaking from her car. Although she ignored him and continued to drive to her house in Ambalipura, another motorcyclist called out to her about the leakage and warned her the car could catch fire. At this, she stopped and stepped out to inspect. Seeing nothing, she went back to the seat only to find the bag missing.
