The State Police on Thursday launched a website that will make it easy for the people to give information to help the police to effectively control electoral malpractices. “The information given by you will be kept secret. We regularly monitor the information and take up investigation,” Director General and Inspector General of Police R. Srikumar said.

The website has various features. Apart from facilitating filing of complaints, the website will disseminate information related to action taken by the police during elections. The daily law and order report provides an update of the number of electoral malpractices and other offences registered for the day across the State. You can get similar information district-wise. The website also shows reports of district Superintendent of Police about some of the electoral malpractices and election-related violence. “Handbook” provides law, rules and guidelines related to elections.

Mr. Srikumar said the police wanted to provide information that was necessary for the people for ensuring transparency in the working.
