Two more persons die on railway tracks

Bangalore: A day after a teenager was fatally run over by a train and his classmate injured, two mutilated bodies were found on railway tracks in the city on Tuesday.

A 45-year-old woman committed suicide near the Malleswaram railway track on Monday night. The Railway Police have not identified her yet.

The body of Lazar Anthony Raj (33) was found on the tracks near Byappanahalli. He was identified by a photocopy of his driver’s licence which said he was a KSRTC employee. But the corporation’s officials could not confirm if he was on their rolls.

On Monday, Vishal Sharma (17) was run over by the Udyan Express and his classmate Harshavardhan (17) critically injured while crossing the track near the Windsor Sheraton.

Both were students of Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College in V.V. Puram.

The dead boy, a resident of Gandhinagar, is the son of Vijayakumar Sharma, a businessman, and Harshavardhan the son of Keerthi Kumar, a resident of Vijayanagar, the police added.
