Traffic curbs for math’s fete

TUMKUR: “Zero traffic” will be imposed on two national highways here twice on Monday for the President, Pratibha Patil’s visit to Sri Siddaganga Math, Superintendent of Police, Harsha P.S., has said.

Ms. Patil will inaugurate the three-day “Siddaganga Shivakumara Swami Birth Centenary Celebration” at the math on Monday at 10.30 a.m.

Dr.Harsha said each time the duration of the zero traffic curb would last for 30 minutes to facilitate the President’s convoy from Mahatma Gandhi Stadium here. He said the President would reach the stadium at 9.15 a.m., proceed to the math via the Bangalore-Honnavar (No.206) and the Bangalore-Pune (No.4) National Highways and return at 11.15 a.m. All invitees for the function should reach the math before 8.30 am. KSRTC will stop all express buses at Kyatsandra on all three days and will run 20 special buses from Tumkur and Bangalore.
