Track down attackers: Yeddyurappa

HAVERI: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has directed the State police to take necessary steps to track down the miscreants who had attacked Tapal Ganesh, the petitioner against the Obulapuram Mining Company.Addressing presspersons prior to the foundation laying ceremony for the shifting of Mannur village in Haveri district on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that investigations were on and the car that the attackers had used had been seized.

Hogenakkal issue

The Chief Minister said the State Government was in touch with the Tamil Nadu Government in connection with finding a solution to the Hogenakkal issue through dialogue.

The Chief Minister said very soon the Chief Secretary of the State would be visiting Chennai in connection with the matter.

Mr. Yeddyurappa said he would be participating in the road show on the Global Investors' Meet in Mumbai on April 1. “The road show is being organised to promote Karnataka there and also create awareness on the Global Investors' Meet to be held in Bangalore on June 6 and 7,” he said.

Mr. Yeddyurappa clarified that the Government would take measures to develop Abaluru, the birthplace of Sarvajana, which is located in Haveri district.
