Three schools register cent per cent results

DHARWAD: Three schools in Dharwad district have achieved cent per cent results in the SSLC examination.

The schools are Siddharoodh School for the Blind, Hubli, AES High School in Alnavar and Boodanagudda High School in Dummawada.

Anaya Savukar of Pawan High School, Dharwad, with 97.92 per cent marks, is the topper in the district. She is followed by Tammaiah Niranjan of GV High School, Hubli, (97.76 per cent); and Nehana M. Hunaswadkar (97.76 per cent) and Dayanand C. Bannur (95.51 per cent) of Police Residential School, Dharwad.

As many as 25,659 students had appeared for the SSLC examination in the district of which 17,702 have passed.

While the district has registered a pass percentage of 68.74, Kalghatgi block has registered the highest pass percentage (84.18) and Navalgund block has registered the lowest pass percentage (53.68) in the district. The pass percentages of other education blocks in the district are as follows: Hubli City - 68.86; Hubli Rural - 70.60; Dharwad Rural - 67.96; and Kundagol - 67.18.
