Three girls killed in road accident

BIDAR: A 14-year-old girl Malashri died on the spot and two of her friends Poojashri and Nandini died on the way to Hyderabad while being shifted to a hospital, after they were knocked down by a maxicab near Pashapur of Aurad taluk of the district on Saturday.

The police said four girls were on their way to a government school from Pashapur to Koutha when a maxi-cab knocked them down killing one of them on the spot and three others sustained injuries, two of them seriously. The maxi-cab was on its way to Chintaki in Aurad taluk from Bidar city when the incident occurred. All the injured were rushed to District Hospital, Bidar. The police said two girls, Poojashri and Nandini sustained serious injuries. They died on the way to a hospital in Hyderabad. The Santhapur police have registered a case.
