These doctors have adopted Angadihalli

The Karnataka State Government Medical Officers Association has adopted Angadihalli in Belur taluk. As part of “shramadan”, doctors from Hagare Primary Health Centre, other PHCs nearby and office-bearers of the association removed weeds and parthenium on Thursday evening.

State president of the association Dr. Ravindra told The Hindu that they adopted the village considering its backwardness and poverty. He said that they would work for the development of the village for one year. They would make door-to-door visits and make a list of the problems the residents faced. They would also conduct a health check-up camp in the village.

Mr. Ravindra said that on Saturday, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Ramana Reddy would officially inaugurate the programme.
