‘Do It Yourself’ exhibition to be held from Friday



GULBARGA: The two-day “Do It Yourself” exhibition of technical projects by students of various engineering colleges and polytechnics in the State will be held at the KCT Polytechnic in Gulbarga from January 30.

Organising committee chairman Qamarul Islam, MLA, told presspersons here on Wednesday that more than 1,200 students from over 150 engineering colleges and polytechnics would exhibit their projects to the captains of the industries and general public.

Mr. Islam said that this was for the first time that a State-level exhibition of engineering projects was being held in Gulbarga.

Higher Education Minister Arvind Limbavali would inaugurate the exhibition and Minister for Cooperation Lakshman S. Savadi would be chief guest. Mr. Islam said that the exhibition would provide a platform for final year students to exhibit their talent. An entry fee of Rs. 1,000 would be collected from the participating engineering colleges and polytechnics and the participating students and teaching staff would be provided free accommodation and boarding facilities.

He said that an expert team of juries would select the best three projects in each faculty.
