Students told to dream big School notes

The newly elected leaders of Lake Montfort School and Composite PU College during the investiture ceremony.  

Bangalore: Lake Montfort School and Composite PU College, K.R. Puram held its investiture ceremony recently. The newly elected leaders took an oath to keep the school flag flying high. R.A. Babu Vijay, Deputy Regional General Manager, pinned the badges on the students.

Kiran Kumar S.V. was elected the school pupil leader, while Srirag. K. was elected assistant school pupil leader. The newly elected leaders promised to carry out their duties with responsibility and commitment. Mr. Vijay told the students to dream big and realise their dreams through hard work and dedication. He also told them to develop self-confidence and positive thinking.





Investiture ceremony

The investiture ceremony at Baldwin Girls’ High School, Richmond Road, began with a presentation by the school choir. This was followed by the school hymn and a reading from the Bible. Pastor Andrew Devund, Koramangala Methodist Church, was the chief guest.

He said, “Leadership is serving, sacrifice and spiritual focus.” He and principal Indira Williams pinned the insignia of office on the office-bearers of the Baldwin Democratic Organisation. Later, the principal administered the oath to school president Mariya Monica, vice-president Drithi Nathan and games captain Prerna Bajaj.

The ceremony came to end with the new leaders promising to carry out their responsibilities.



Results

Stella Maris High School, Gayathri Devi Park Extension, achieved excellent results in the SSLC examination held recently. Several students scored above 90 per cent. Rakshitha Varnika (96.32 per cent) is the school topper. Krithika Vel (94.88 per cent) came second, while Priyanka C.R. (94.72 per cent) came third. At Mother’s Public School, Mahalakshmipuram, Prashanth (86 per cent), emerged as the school topper. Santhosh R. (85 per cent) came second.
