SP contesting in two constituencies

It could not complete negotiations with other parties



Udupi: President of the district unit of the Samajwadi Party (SP) Ashok Suvarna said on Thursday that the party had fielded candidates in two constituencies in Udupi district.

Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Suvarna said that the party had fielded Karunakar Prabhu from Kaup and Mohammad Hussain from Kundapur.

The party could not field its candidates in all the five Assembly constituencies of the district as its negotiations with other parties on seat sharing could not be completed till the last minute of filing nominations.

In all, the party had fielded 141 candidates in the State for the forthcoming Assembly polls, Mr. Suvarna said.
