Probe against principal sought

MYSORE: The former president of the State Federation of University and College Teachers’ Association in Karnataka, Prabhuswamy, and the former zonal secretary of the All India Federation of University and College Teachers’ Associations, K.P. Vasudevan, have urged the management of D. Banumaiah’s College of Commerce and Arts here to conduct an inquiry into the allegations of harassment made against the college principal by three women staff.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, they said the investigation team should comprise representatives from the University of Mysore, the Government and the teachers’ association.

“The principal has been asked to go on leave,” they said.
