Police chief cautions public against firm

BANGALORE: The city police have cautioned the public against investing in Sainath Car-on-Rent Ltd., which is accused of cheating several investors in New Delhi and Hyderabad.

In a press release, Police Commissioner Shankar M. Bidari said that investors, enticed by the firm’s promise of good returns, were faced with bounced cheques. The New Delhi police registered cases of cheating and arrested the firm’s proprietor while the Hyderabad police have registered cheating cases.

Three cases have been registered by the Ashoknagar police here.

“The firm’s office on M.G. Road here has been closed for the past several days,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar.
