BANGALORE: Admitting that there were large-scale irregularities in the revaluation of the answer papers of examinations conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences during December 2008 and January 2009, the Minister for Medical Examination Ramachandra Gowda told the Legislative Council on Monday that the Government had constituted a three-member panel to look into the details of the complaints on the discrepancies and irregularities.

The government was awaiting the committee report and it would take strict action against those responsible, he said.

On the issue of collecting hefty fee of Rs. 5,000 for the revaluation or “challenge valuation”, he said that the entire fee would be returned in all deserving cases.
