Okkuta demands Maski’s arrest

Correspondent

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Members of the Ambedkar Sanghatanegala Okkuta took out a procession here on Thursday urging the Government to arrest MLC Manohar Maski for his remarks against B.R. Ambedkar.

The procession began from Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan and ended at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The members submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Manojkumar Meena. They burnt an effigy of Mr. Maski and urged the Government to arrest him.

The members said such remarks would disturb peace in society. They said the okkuta would launch an agitation if the Government did not take action against Mr. Maski.
