Notification issued

BELLARY: G. Janardhan Reddy, Minister for Tourism and Infrastructure Development, has reiterated that the proposed new airport for Bellary will come up at the site chosen near Chaganur and Siriwar on the outskirts of the city. In a chat with presspersons here on Tuesday, Mr. Reddy said that the Infrastructure Department had released Rs. 40 crore to the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) for acquiring land for the new greenfield airport. He also said that a gazette notification had been issued to acquire 1,250 acres of land identified at Chaganur and Siriwar villages. — Staff Correspondent
