HUBLI: The Registrar of KLE University, Belgaum, P.F. Kotur, has said that only continued learning in professional life will help one to improve skills.

Inaugurating “Eye-Fest: 08”, a two-day Continuing Medical Education programme on various sub-specialities of ophthalmology organised by M.M. Joshi Eye Institute here on Saturday, Dr. Kotur said that it was essential for doctors to acquire new skills as they would help them in treating their patients.

Medical Director of M.M. Joshi Eye Institute M.M. Joshi, ophthalmic surgeons Arup Chakraborthy, Mahipal Singh Sachdev, Anil Kulkarni, and Guruprasad participated in the inaugural function.

As many as 200 ophthalmologists from Karnataka, Goa and South Maharashtra are participating in the Continuing Medical Education programme with a focus on phacoemulsification and retinal surgeries.
