Katta's son has more gold and silver than his wife

BANGALORE:Who said women alone are fond of jewellery? Take the case of Katta Jagadish, son of Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, who is contesting from the Vasanthanagar ward on a BJP ticket.

Mr. Jagadish has more gold and silver than his wife, according to the statement of assets and liabilities filed during filing of the nomination paper.

Mr. Jagadish, who is aged 31, has 2.032 kg of gold, 9.84 kg of silver and other valuables worth over Rs. 80 lakh while his wife owns 1.065 kg of gold and 4 kg of silver, worth Rs. 13 lakh.

While he has invested over Rs. 3.5 crore in companies, his wife has invested Rs. 1 crore in companies.

While Mr. Jagadish has only one building property with one-thirds of the share in a commercial building worth Rs. 50 lakh, his wife owns a flat at Padmanabhanagar worth Rs. 21 lakh.

On the other hand, BJP candidate from Kavalbyrasandra Y.R. Gowramma owns extensive agricultural and non-agricultural property around the city individually as well as jointly with her children.

Aged 63 and having studied till SSLC, Ms. Gowramma has over 36 acres of land around Kengeri while she owns many flats in Gautam Garden Vilas in Kavalbyrasandra.

The worth of all fixed assets held by Ms. Gowramma individually and jointly thus crosses Rs. 16 crore.

The total worth of property held by Ms. Gowramma and her three children crosses Rs. 80 crore.
