Governor greets people on Ugadi

Bangalore: Governor Rameshwar Thakur has extended greetings to the people of Karnataka on the occasion of Ugadi.

In a message, he said: “Ugadi symbolises the arrival of spring and new life. The festival conveys a message that happiness and misery should be treated equally. Let Ugadi herald an era of peace and prosperity for people.”

Chairman of the Legislative Council B.K. Chandrashekar in his Ugadi greetings said: “Let the occasion bring prosperity to the State and resolve all the problems.” D.K. Shivakumar, former Minister, has also wished the people of the State on occasion of Ugadi. Congress leaders Prithviraj Chavan, M. Mallikarjun Kharge, Siddaramaiah, N. Dharam Singh, D.K. Shivakumar and Krishna Byre Gowda have greeted the people on the occasion of Ugadi. They wished the people all-round prosperity.
