Governor clears the air on ‘criticism’

Special Correspondent

CHICKABALLAPUR: Governor H.R. Bhardwaj on Wednesday said that his criticism of the State Government was often misunderstood. After inaugurating the VTU Institute of Advanced Technology (VIAT) at Muddenahalli near here, Mr. Bhardwaj said, “As the Constitutional head of the Government, I can definitely point out the areas in promoting the Government’s popularity.”

Mr. Bhardwaj, who dwelt on the Governor-Government relationship, said he would advise Ministers whenever necessary as good governance had become a “casualty” in the country. He added that he had no political interest and would never indulge in politicking.
