BIDAR: Discussion on the no-confidence motion moved against the Bidar Zilla Panchayat vice-president, Rajshekar Patil, was adjourned on Wednesday till February 27 because of lack of quorum.

Mr. Patil is a Congress member. The no-confidence motion was moved against him by Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members. However, the JD(S) and BJP members did not attend the meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the panchayat president Sangeeta Patil to take up discussion on the motion, forcing its adjournment.

In the 31-member panchayat, Congress has 13 members, JD(S) and BJP have eight members each and Bahujan Samaj Party has one member besides an independent member.

Chief Executive Officer of the panchayat Umesh Kusugal was present.
