BANGALORE: Condemning the attack on women in a pub in Mangalore allegedly by the Sri Rama Sene, of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) activists held a demonstration at the Mysore Bank Circle here on Wednesday. They burnt the effigy of Home Minister V.S. Acharya condemning his failure to curb the incidences and sought his resignation.

DYFI district vice-president Lingaraj said the failure of the State Government in handling such incidents proves these groups had government support and called for the Home Minister’s resignation. C. Kumari, State joint secretary of the women’s self-help groups’ federation, called for the Sri Rama Sene’s ban.
