BANGALORE: Activists of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) on Wednesday staged a protest at the Mysore Bank Circle here against the Government's CET policy announced for admission to professional courses.

Addressing the gathering, ABVP State organising secretary N. Ravi Kumar said that the Government, in its anxiety to solve the CET problem, has yielded to pressure from college managements, and that the CET policy was against the interest of the students.

He said, "Managements have got the highest number of seats as well as permission to collect high fee. Higher education will be out of reach of those hailing from economically weaker sections under the new CET policy."
