Bangalore cartoonist on show in Israel

Bangalore: Noted cartoonist B.V. Panduranga Rao certainly made starting a new life after 60 a humorous and easy proposition to deal with. His cartoon on this theme was selected for display at the 14th International Haifa Cartoon Contest 2008 in Israel organised by the Haifa Municipality and PENCOM Association.

On show at the venue for a month till October 15, it has also been included in the International Cartoons Album with 90 select cartoons brought out by the organisers. The contest features 1,000 cartoons by 330 cartoonists from close to 60 countries, with India’s very own Mr. Rao being one among them. Mr. Rao has been president of the Karnataka Cartoonists’ Association and has conducted 33 one-man shows throughout the country.
