HUBLI: Minister for Haj, Wakfs and Minority Welfare Mumtaz Ali Khan said that Sri Rama Sene should be banned.

He was speaking to presspersons at the inauguration of the Anjuman’s Royal Palace and Shaadi Mahal in Hubli on Saturday. The Minister said that violence against women was not part of Indian culture, and he vehemently condemned the attack on women at a pub in Mangalore.

He said any organisation which indulged in violence against women and took law into its hands should be banned. Mr. Khan said that pub culture was against Indian culture and that it was an offshoot of western culture and had resulted in westernising the youth in the country.

He said pubs should also be banned in the interest of the country.
