Students spread awareness about HIV

MYSORE: They walked more than three kilometres to create awareness about HIV/AIDS. Students of Shantaveri Gopalagowda School of Nursing, on Saturday, took out a procession through the main thoroughfares of the city to educate the public on AIDS prevention and control.

Carrying attractive placards with messages to raise the level of awareness among the people, the students marched from the school premises up to Statue Circle near the city bus stand.

Precautions

They stood in front of the Mysore Palace for sometime, and explained how the disease could be prevented by taking necessary precautions.

The students, who numbered over 350, raised slogans to attract the attention of the public.
