Janata Darshan cancelled

There will be no Janata Darshan programme of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on March 17 because he would be visiting Haveri district on March 16 and 17.

BWSSB drive against motors

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will initiate stern action, including criminal proceedings, against those found to be drawing water from BWSSB lines using motors. The penal measure would include disconnection of power supply to the premises, BWSSB chairman N.C. Muniyappa warned in a press release. The board has appealed to the general public to call 22945114 if they found any such instances.

Results announced

Bangalore University has announced the results of V semester B. Com., examination held in November or December 2006 on Thursday and the principals of respective colleges may collect the result sheets from the examination branch, Central College campus. The last date to submit revaluation application to the university is March 30 without penal fee.

Solar eclipse

Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Kasturba Road, has made elaborate arrangements for safe viewing of the Solar eclipse on March 19.
