928 cases cleared by women’s panel

Bangalore: The Karnataka State Women’s Commission has cleared 928 out of the 3,296 pending cases since November 2007, said Shalini Rajneesh, Secretary, Women and Child Welfare Department, who is in charge of the commission.

She told presspersons here on Tuesday that 2,368 cases were being examined. The commission received 150 new applications in December 2007.
