Gulbarga: The State Government will upgrade nearly 3,000 km of district main roads to State highways in north Karnataka districts, MLA Vishwanth Patil Hebbal said here on Saturday.

He said that in Gulbarga, nearly 223 km of district main roads will be upgraded. They included the road from Firozabad Cross to Shahabad, Madbul, Rummangud and Chengta, from Handaraki to Chitapur, Tengli, Hebbal and Aralakal, Bidar-Chincholi and Chincholi to Sedam and from Afzalpur, Ghattargi, Devar Navadagi and Sindagi.

The State Government would upgrade 517 primary health units to primary health centres, the MLA said.

Units

Four primary health units in Chitapur taluk would be included in this, the MLA said.

The health units were at Srinissar Saradgai, Dandoti, Aralkal and Harsur, Mr. Hebbal said.
