KARNATAKA

3 MLAs to meet Nayak

Congress MLAs — A. Manju, B.B. Ramaswamy Gowda and P.M. Ashok — on Wednesday condemned the “inhuman” remarks made by the Bellary brothers against the former Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader M.P. Prakash and said they would seek legal advice from the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission chairman S.R. Nayak on Thursday for initiating action them. Speaking to presspersons, they also criticised the Ministers from Bellary for using unparliamentary language against Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah and conducting a “homa” in Bellary after the Congress rally.

‘Insult to voters'

The MLAs termed it undemocratic and said it was an insult to the voters, who elected these leaders as well as the people. The Congress leaders only accepted their challenge and went to Bellary and gave a reply to them in a democratic way.

They demanded that Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa drop the Ministers from Bellary for their remarks against the veteran leaders.

Referring to their challenge to the Congress to destabilise the Yeddyurappa Government, the MLAs said it was the Reddy brothers who did it.
