Workshop on `women and academic leadership' held in NIT

WARANGAL: Women should strike a balance between their domestic life and career while marching ahead, said former Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University Prof. Vidyavati.

Addressing a workshop `Women and Academic Leadership,' in the National Institute of Technology (NIT), she said though things have changed for better and women are occupying important positions in every field, their number is still limited in higher education. "Academic field is most suitable to women, but surprisingly their number is less," she said.

The former Vice-Chancellor exhorted women in particular to guard values, however big they grow in their careers. Despite advancements, one should strive to preserve values, she said.
