A native of Chimiryala of Samsthan Narayanapur mandal, Premalatha had participated in the killing of three policemen of the highway patrol party at a petrol bunk at Dandu Malkapuram on March 15 night, the SP said.

She joined the dalam in February under the influence of her friend, Valigonda Premalatha, a member of the Rachakonda dalam.

She told the reporters that a seven-member team led by the district committee secretary, Ravi, killed the policemen to snatch away firearms. "She also fired at the police party," the SP maintained adding that she had come out of jungle "due to hardships as well as frustration with the behaviour of dalam members."
