Tributes paid to Ambedkar

KURNOOL: The supporters of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), led by Rayalaseema zone in charge of the party, Karunakar, washed the statue of B.R. Ambedkar at old bus stand in connection with the death anniversary of the leader here on Wednesday.

The participants condemned the insult to the architect of the Indian Constitution in the form of desecration of statues across the country. They

also condemned the atrocities on Dalit women in Maharastra.

In another programme under the auspices of Abyunnathi Charitable Trust, a few people went on fast urging the authorities to allot site for the trust.

DCC secretary M. Sudhakar Babu formally inaugurated the camp.
