`Top priority for rural roads'

KURNOOL, JULY 24. The Zilla Parishad Chairman, B. Venkatramudu, who completed three years in office on Friday said during his tenure development works worth Rs. 134.32 crores were executed.

Talking to reporters, Mr. Venkatramudu said rural roads were given priority and an amount of Rs. 10 crores was spent. Similarly, internal roads and CC roads were developed at a cost of Rs. 12.78 crores.

Mr. Venkatramudu said thrust was given to construction of school buildings by spending an amount of Rs. 50 crores and drinking water schemes Rs. 5.71 crores.
