Three hacked to death

KURNOOL: Three persons were hacked to death at Alampur Crossroads near here on Tuesday. According to reports, some four miscreants threw crude bombs at the car in which the victims were travelling.

After the car spun out of control and fell in a roadside ditch, the assailants hacked to death, Bhagawan Goud and his follower, Jaheer Khan.

His son, Ramesh Goud, who sustained serious injuries, died in General Hospital here. The driver of the car, Sheiksha Vali, was undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The triple murder took place a few yards away from the police outpost at Alampur crossroads. According to eye-witnesses, the assailants sped away in an auto. Old enmity caused by the murder of Venkanna Goud in the year 2002 at Alampur was believed to be the motive.
