Tension at LeT militant's house

HYDERABAD Nov. 24. Tension prevailed at Malakpet municipal peon quarters this afternoon with youngsters gathering in large numbers as they came to know about the Lashkar-e-Toiba militant and one of the main accused in the temple blast, Syed Aziz's encounter death at Karimnagar.

A senior police officer reportedly called up Aziz's father, Abdul Rasheed's house this morning and inquired about Aziz. Rasheed, who is an attender with Narayanaguda blood bank, told the police that his son had been living in Saudi Arabia for the last two years.

Aziz's family members were shocked when the police informed them that Aziz was working for the LeT and was shot dead when he tried to escape.

Aziz's brother, S.K. Sami, said that his brother used to call up and write regularly. "But, for some reason, we did not hear from him for the past six months,'' a dejected Sami said.

The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLA, Asaduddin Owaisi, demanded that the Government order a judicial inquiry into the `fake encounters' of both Azam and Aziz who were killed on Friday and Saturday respectively.
