Tension at encounter victim's house

HYDERABAD Nov. 24. Tension prevailed here at the Malakpet Municipal Peons' Quarters from this afternoon with youngsters gathering in large numbers as they came to know about Aziz's death. Aziz's father, Abdul Rasheed, is an attender with the Narayanaguda Blood Bank and lives in quarter no. 59.

A senior police officer reportedly called up Rasheed's house this morning and inquired the whereabouts of Aziz. Rasheed told the police that his son had been living in Saudi Arabia for the last two years. Aziz's family members were shocked when the police informed them that Aziz was working for LeT and shot dead when he tried to escape.

Aziz's brother, S.K. Sami, said that his brother used to call up and write regularly. "But, for some reasons, we did not hear from him for the past six months,'' a dejected Sami said. The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLA, Asaduddin Owaisi, demanded that the Government order a judicial inquiry into the fake encounters of both Azam and Aziz who were killed on Friday and Saturday respectively.
