Teachers plan agitation

`Chalo Secretariat' rally on April 14

HYDERABAD: The State Council of Andhra Pradesh United Teachers' Federation which met at Sangareddy on March 16 and 17 finalised the agitational programme to focus attention on teachers' problems.

The programmes comprise submission of memoranda to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Education Minister N. Rajyalakshmi on March 21, organising a "Chalo Secretariat" rally on April 14 and boycotting SSC spot valuation work.

A press release said the council decided to conduct meetings at division-district levels on March 23, Bhagat Singh's anniversary to take up a campaign against imperialism.

Ch. Subash Chandra Bose and N. Narayana were re-elected as president and general secretary, respectively, along with a 35-member executive.
