TDP seeks probe into endowment lands sale

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party has demanded an inquiry by a sitting High Court Judge into the alleged scam involving sale of Endowment lands in the State.

Stepping up the offensive against the Government, the TDP spokesperson, M. V. Mysoora Reddy, the former Endowments Minister, Dandu Sivarama Raju, and the general secretary, G. Sukhender Reddy, at a press conference here on Saturday alleged that the sons of a Union Minister and two State Ministers were also involved in the scandal.

The party also wanted all files pertaining to regularisation of the controversial lands made public so that names of persons involved in the scandal would be revealed.

Dr. Mysoora Reddy said no purpose would be served if the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, ordered an enquiry by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) or the Vigilance and Enforcement Department. Merely cancelling the sale was also no solution.
