TDP drive on revision of electoral rolls

VIJAYAWADA: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) urban unit will take up a door-to-door campaign to urge people to enrol as voters in the current special revision of electoral rolls. The drive will begin in a day or two involving party division presidents, corporators, local leaders and activists.

As the special revision will conclude on December 4, the party leadership has speeded up the awareness drive. The TDP local leaders and cadres will visit every household and provide Form 6 (for inclusion) to them, if their names are not found in the existing rolls.

The leadership has decided to provide the forms to all people without verifying whether they are sympathisers of the TDP or not. The decisions were taken at the coordination committee meeting held at the party office here on Monday. TDP urban president Gadde Rammohan, general secretary Nagul Meera, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, E. Jaganmohan Raju and others were present.
