HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday stressed the need to curb attempts of certain unruly forces to disturb peace in the State and urged everyone to strive for promoting it.

Participating in a function organised on the eve of the first anniversary of Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar at Gachibowli here, he referred to the peace message given earlier by Dadi Prakash Mani and said that there was great need for peace in the State and pointed out that there would not be prosperity without peace.

Radio channel

Earlier, Dr. Reddy launched 24-hour Om Shanti Radio Channel and lauded the services being rendered by Brahma Kumaris and assured that the Government would extend support to their activities.

Dadi Prakash Mani, who gave the blessings to the gathering, urged people to experience the power of peace and give up anger.

Congress leaders D. Purandeshwari and P. Upendra also spoke.
