Stone laying put off after TDP protest

ADILABAD: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists on Saturday argued with the Adilabad MLA, C. Ramchander Reddy, for not following protocol while laying the foundation stone for a road in Jainad mandal.

The arguments resulted in postponement of the laying of the foundation stone during the `Praja Patham' programme at Kouta village.

Scores of TDP activists protested the non-inclusion of names of ZP chairman Lolam Shamsunder, Jainad ZPTC member Jogu Ramanna and two other public representatives from Jainad belonging to the TDP on the plaque marking the foundation stone.

They alleged that it was at the behest of the MLA. There were heated arguments on the issue.
