Stolen motorcycles recovered

TIRUPATI: The Tirupati crime sleuths on Saturday nabbed two youths and recovered from them seven motorcycles of different makes, which they had allegedly stolen in the recent times from different localities of the temple town. The duo -- Balu Manikantha (23) and Selvakumar (21) -- both residents of Indira Nagar here, was apprehended by the crime police even as they were waiting with two motorcycles at the TTD's Srinivasa Kalyanamandapam complex on the Tiruchanur road.

According to the Crime Inspector, K. Narasimhulu, who tracked down the two under the direct supervision of the Additional SP, Tirupati, J. Brahma Reddy, their arrest led the recovery of five more two-wheelers which they had kept at their houses.

The motorcycles recovered were four Hero Honda Splendours and one each of TVS Victor, TVS Suzuki and a Yamaha Crux models all worth about Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
