Stillborn baby's body exhumed

HYDERABAD Nov. 7. As a part of the investigation into the alleged torture of a pregnant woman by the Dundigal police, the body of a stillborn baby delivered by the victim was exhumed today.

The exhumation was conducted by a team of forensic experts of the Gandhi Medical College in the presence of the Qutbullapur MRO. The police sent the victim, Nagamani, to the Government Maternity Hospital, Nayapul, for medical examination.

She was allegedly beaten up by a constable of Dundigal police station, Kistaiah, following which she delivered the stillborn baby. The constable was suspended and an enquiry was ordered into the incident.
