SSC exam: three invigilators suspended

VIJAYAWADA, MARCH 17. Three teachers, on invigilation duty in SSC public examination, were suspended in Krishna district on Thursday on the charges of distributing `wrong' question papers and allowing students to take away objective-type question papers (bit papers) with them.

Giving details, the District Educational Officer, A. Satyanarayana Reddy, said that the three teachers, Madhavilatha (grade I Telugu pandit, ZP High School, Tadigadapa), I. Sunitha (secondary grade teacher, MPP School, Shabada) and M. Jyothi Rani (secondary grade teacher, MP Elementary School, Kanuru) were deputed as invigilators to the KMSM Sai Public School, Bhashyam `B' Centre and Patamata Municipal School (all in Vijayawada) respectively.

While the first two distributed Sanskrit question papers instead of Telugu, the third one allowed students to carry the objective-type question paper along with them.

The DEO also called for explanation from the chief superintendents concerned.
