Special trains for National Games

HYDERABAD Dec. 4. A number of special trains will be run and some existing trains extended to facilitate sportspersons and public to participate in the 32nd National Games being held here from December 13 to 22.

A special train will leave Miryalguda at 5 a.m. and arrive at Lingampalli at 8.30 a.m. after stopping at Nalgonda, Chityala, Ramannapet, Bibinagar and Secunderabad. In the reverse direction, its departure and arrival timings are 5.45 pm and 9.30 pm respectively.

Another train will depart at Ramagundam 5 am and arrive at Lingampalli at 10 am after halts at Peddapalli, Jammikunta, Uppal, Hasanparti Road, Kazipet, Ghanpur, Raghunathpalli, Jangaon, Aler, Bhongir and Secunderabad. In the return direction, the special will leave at 6 pm and reach its destination at 11 pm.

Train Nos. 586/585 Mahabubnagar-Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar passengers will be extended to run upto Lingampalli. Mahabubnagar-Lingampalli passenger will depart Mahabubnagar at 7 am, Secunderabad at 9.40 am and arrive Lingampalli at 10.15 am. In the return direction, the special train will leave Lingampalli at 4.45 pm, Secunderabad at 5.20 pm and arrive Mahabubnagar at 8.10 pm.

Train Nos. 355/356 Tandur-Hyderabad-Tandur passenger will be augmented with extra coaches. Further, additional coaches will be attached to Dakshin, Hussainsagar, Mumbai, East Coast and Falaknuma expresses. Several other trains will stop for one minute at Lingampalli.

New train from Dec. 14: The SCR will introduce a weekly fast passenger train between Peddapalli and Vijayawada with effect from December 14 instead of December 7 announced earlier.

An SCR press release said train no. 175/177 Peddapalli- Vijayawada fast passenger will depart Peddapalli every Saturday at 8 am and arrive Vijayawada at 4 pm. In the return direction, train no. 178/176 will depart Vijayawada every Friday at 10 am and arrive at Peddapalli at 6 pm.

The trains will stop en route at Kottapalli, Kolnur, Odela, Potkapalli, Jammikunta, Uppal, Hasanparti, Kazipet, Warangal, Chintalpalli, Nekonda, Kesamudram, Mahboobabad, Garla, Dornakal, Papatapalli, Khammam, Chintakani, Bonakalu, Madhira, Errupalem, Gangineni, Kondapalli and Rayanapaadu in both directions.

Train Nos 383/384 and 385/386 Karimnagar-Peddapalli passengers presently running for six days a week will run daily from December 14.
